Recent Prizes and Awards

Noémie N’diaye was awarded the Columbia University Department of English and Comparative Literature’s biennial Cohen Dissertation Prize for her 2017 dissertation Marking Blackness: Embodied Techniques of Racialization in Early Modern European Theatre.

Abby Schroering won the 2018 Association for Theatre in Higher Education Graduate Student Competition, for her essay “Theatre of the World: Toward an Affirmative Ethics of Animal Performance,” and was invited to present the paper at the annual convention.
